Booking Conditions
Our booking conditions stipulate the terms and conditions for booking a trip with Noksana Mushing Tours.
Booking Policy:
When Noksana Mushing receives payment for a confirmed booking, the guests will receive a booking confirmation email. The booking confirmation email will confirm the final tour booking and contain other relevant booking information, including terms and conditions. It is important that the guests read carefully and understand the information and terms. We will be pleased to provide clarifications in case of any doubts or answers to any queries that the guests might have in this regard.
It is the responsibility of the guests to arrive at the meeting point on time, as delays may disrupt the entire tour program and inconvenience other guests. We have meeting points at the Noksana Mushing Tours Dog Yard, top of Reindeer Point Road, Reindeer Point, Tuktoyaktuk, and at times at the Canada Parks Pingo Park Day Use area, Tuktoyaktuk. We shall specify the meeting point in the confirmation email.
A security deposit of 15% is required for booking. Booking deposits are refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of booking. To confirm and accept a late booking made within 45 days of the start of the tour, Noksana Mushing requires immediate payment of a 15% security deposit.
Please note that the person booking must be at least 18 years of age to make a valid booking. If Noksana Mushing cannot honour a confirmed booking due to an emergency or unforeseen problem, the guest will receive a full refund.
Terms of Payment:
On receipt of the 15% refundable deposit, the Guests will receive the “Deposit Received Confirmation” email. However, Noksana Mushing needs to receive the balance of 85% of the payment prior to the end of the trip. Furthermore, we reserve the right to cancel the tour if security payment is not received in our account within 30 days before the trip’s starting date.
In case of a cancellation within 24 hours, the 15% deposit is fully refundable. We accept the following forms of payment:

Please note that we only accept payments in Canadian Dollars (CAD). The guests will pay currency conversion and related bank charges.
Own Risk and Liability:
The tours provided by Noksana Mushing involve physical activity and travelling over harsh terrain in inhospitable weather conditions at times. The guests should engage in the activities provided by Noksana Mushing at their own risk. It is the responsibility of the guest to understand the physical fitness requirements of these tours and realize their limitations before booking.
Noksana Mushing denies any responsibility for any loss, accident, injury, damage, death, sickness, or other events beyond its control. All guests booking tours with Noksana Mushing must have sufficient medical and travel insurance, including winter sports insurance!
Responsibilities:
The guests must thoroughly read the tour information to ensure they know what they have signed up for. Please refer to the daily tours or more extended tour descriptions for complete details. We are more than happy to provide clarification to any queries the guests may have prior to booking a tour with us.
Guests can borrow warm clothing (shoes, overalls, hats, mittens) at no extra cost. However, the guests are responsible for taking care of the gear and ensuring its returned intact. Loss or damage to the borrowed equipment will incur a charge for replacement.
Each guest will be provided with a sled and sled- bag on our longer trips. The guest is responsible for keeping the sled and the sled bag in good condition by following the appropriate care instructions provided by the tour guide at the onset of the tour. If there is any damage to the sled or sled bag, the guest will incur an access fee for the cost of the imported equipment (1500 Swedish Kronor).
The guidelines on driving a sled are provided to the guests to ensure their own safety, the safety of the sled dogs, and fellow guests, and ensure the entire tour can be conducted in a hassle-free and enjoyable manner. We, therefore, expect all guests to listen and pay close attention to the instructions! We wish to ensure our guests can enjoy the beauty of our country and carry back wonderful memories. We, therefore, stress the importance of following safety guidelines and instructions throughout the tour duration.
Most importantly, all guests need to pay attention to safety guidelines and follow instructions given by the dog mushing guide. Failure to abide by the instructions and safety guidelines can result in severe danger and injury to the guest, other guests, and/or dogs. In the eventuality of such an occurrence, the guest will be excluded from the tour without the right to any compensation or refund.
Also, such excluded guests will be escorted to the nearest town and left to arrange their return at their own responsibility and expense. Noksana Mushing will be absolved from responsibility for these guests due to a breach of safety guidelines.
Agreement between Noksana Mushing and the Guests:
We consider all guests (including any persons who are added or substituted later), whether booking via our booking page, by website, by Facebook, by email, in person, by telephone, or by any other means, to agree to the following booking conditions when booking a trip with us:

They have read and accepted our booking policy, cancellation policy, and tour information;

They understand and fully accept the risks involved in a Husky Tour;

They take part in a Husky Tour in good physical and mental health. For any pre-existing medical conditions or other health-related queries, please get in touch with us; and

The person making the booking confirms that they are at least 18 years old and has full authority to make a booking based on these booking conditions on behalf of all persons named on the booking form and confirms that all such persons are fully aware of these booking conditions and accept them.
